Qatar Public Library
It was founded in 1962 through an amalgamation of the Public
Library and
Al-Maarif Library. It is affiliated to the National Council
for Culture, Arts And Heritage. It has good reputation in the
field of publishing houses and national libraries both internationally
and in the Arab World. In the Arab Gulf countries, it is considered
the oldest of its kind in addition to its basic role
in compiling, safekeeping, and informing about the national
heritage in Qatar.
